I love strawberries! But then again, who doesn’t? The tart sweetness is just so delish! Of course the fact they are always used in romantic dinners and desserts, just makes strawberries all the more tempting.
1 cup of strawberries per person (well, this person at least) is more than enough for any recipe and the 1 cup contains only 49 calories. That is really a bonus on it’s own. I can easily eat strawberries as a dessert and feel all sexy too!!
The benefits and nutrients are amazing. It’s got
- Fiber to help with gut issues
- Vitamins A and C in very high amounts which are excellent anti-inflammatories
- Minerals such as potassium and folate.
- the ever so appreciated Magnesium
- Vitamin K
- Manganese which regulates the function of the brain and proper functioning of the nervous system
- Flavonoids which improve cognitive behaviour

So here are two awesome recipes you can enjoy while packing this nutrion filled goddess into your system.
1. Strawberry Parfait
This dessert is best served in a pretty, clear glass. You might want to use a stem glass for added visual pleasure. Basically, you are just going to layer three basic ingredients
Starting with a layer of greek yoghurt
fill approximately a 6th of the glass
Top this with an equal layer of granola
I like the vanilla flavoured one (TBH strawberry granola was a little oveer powering in this recipe)
I top this with a teaspoon of jam – I prepfer raspberry or blackberry to add another flavour
Repeat and top with sliced strawberries – serve chilled
You can’t go wrong!!
2. Strawberry Salad
In this cool, summer salad, you just to
