Spicy Sautéed Peas

I enjoy my peas spiced and sautéed instead of just boiled and salted. The extra flavour adds another dimension of flavour to the meal. I can tell you one thing, my Dad isn’t easily pleased, but even he loves this dish.

It’s nothing too difficult or fancy but definitely worth a shot.

Spicy Sautéed Peas

2 cups             frozen, thawed peas
1/2                   onion – chopped
1/2                   tomato – chopped
1 teaspoon     cumin seeds

  1.  In a pan with heated oil, add in the cumin seeds. Then add in the onions.
Allow to cook for a min or so and then add in the tomato.
  2. Add a little water if necessary and cover the pot.
  3. Once the tomato and onions resemble a paste, add in the peas and salt to taste.
  4. Cook through and the peas are ready to be served.

Don’t forget to Instagram me your dish or your version if you decide to tweak it.
